On Friday 24th October the senior managers and employees from Williams Fasteners attended the glittering Rotherham Business Awards Ceremony at Magna, Rotherham. Hosted by Harry Gration from BBC Look North, the night was attended by over 500 nominees and guests there to celebrate the success of businesses in the area. Williams Fasteners are proud to be Platinum members of the joint chamber with Barnsley and Rotherham as the business across South Yorkshire is important to the head office based on Tinsley Industrial Estate. We were very pleased that Matt Dransfield was nominated for the award for Employee of the Year. Matt is just 24 years of age but already proving to be a great asset for the company and the directors were pleased that his hard work and commitment were recognized by the judges Morthyng Limited.
But this was not the only award that Williams had been nominated for and we were pleased to be recognized as runner up in the Excellence in Business Award category, sponsored by First. Susan Battersby, Managing Director collected the award on the evening and the Williams tables, consisting of 20 employees and guests, certainly let it be known that they were pleased with that result. The cheer that went up when the name was announced drowned out any others attending. Susan wants to thank all those that attended and supported the company on the night – she is sure that everyone enjoyed the evening and had a great time – the success of the company on the night was just the icing on the cake!
