Williams Fasteners, Anglia is our most successful branch and has been operating for over 15 years. It consists of a warehouse, a busy trade counter and sales office with a team of enthusiastic, loyal people. The business is renowned in the area for good service, competitive pricing and a personal approach. We want to build on the team that is currently in place by providing additional support in the sales office. The vacancy is internal and the person will be handling telesales, general enquiries and order processing. It is full time and permanent, with operating hours being 8:00 – 5:00 from Monday to Friday. Ideally we require a person with experience and knowledge in relation to industrial fasteners and have a background in engineering/consumables in particular; this will include tele-sales experience or other form of selling ability. Knowledge of the Charisma IT system can be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided in this computer system – however, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. You will need to be self-motivated as much of the work involved will be independent and you will be working on your own initiative. However, it is also essential that you are able to work as part of the team, understanding how to prioritise in order to meet deadlines and customer needs. It is vital that you understand the importance of customer satisfaction and be articulate in talking to clients, having a good telephone manner and be polite in conversation. Although there are procedures and controls in place, we encourage individuals to be creative and generate new ideas that can improve sales and customer service. The company is flexible and friendly, providing training and support to individuals that wish to personally develop and improve. Salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience and knowledge. The package is competitive and will be discussed with candidates who are successful in attending an interview.
